He’s known for his ability to quickly grasp the nuances of a case to deliver thorough and precise findings. He otherwise actively seeks to expand his understanding of the law through ongoing professional development.
Matthew completes his final semester at the University of Queensland where he studies a dual Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Economics. Following graduation, he will begin Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the College of Law. He aspires to establish a thriving practice in commercial litigation.

Olena has a strong focus on JCL Law Partners’ daily accounting. She ensures that JCL’s accounting processes and operations run smoothly.
After completing her Master of Professional Accounting at the University of Southern Queensland in 2014, Olena started her extensive experience in legal accounting within a family operated suburban legal practice. With over 20 years of experience in legal accounting, her dedication and passion has driven her to perform exceptional services.
Since joining JCL Law Partners recently, Olena has enjoyed being an integral part of a committed team.
Ryley Wagner

Prior to joining JCL, Ryley gained valuable experience in commercial litigation working in boutique and mid-size law firms.
Ryley graduated from Griffith University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Government and International Relations. After completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2021, she was admitted to the Queensland Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in early 2022.
Ryley has a background as a graduate lawyer and solicitor at both boutique and larger firms, with her roles all focusing on the area of commercial litigation. She has a wide range of experience in this area, including but not limited to debt recovery (against companies and individuals), commercial property, leasing and contract disputes. She is passionate about working with clients to achieve the best possible outcome in a time efficient and cost-effective manner.
Adam Carr

Adam has close to a decade of experience in insolvency and litigation. Having worked at regulators for both personal and corporate insolvency, he has a unique and intimate understanding of the industry through the regulators’ perspective. Adam is in a strong position to better advise clients on potential risks and issues with regulators.
He has also made significant contributions to the successful administration of the ASIC Assetless Administration Fund. Additionally, he’s worked across a broad range of insolvency and litigation matters in private practice.
Adam was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, and currently holds an unrestricted practising certificate in the state of Queensland. Adam takes a proactive approach with all his clients and has a ‘get it done’ attitude when it comes to tackling complex legal issues.

As our legal administration assistant, Rishika provides valuable administrative support to our team of solicitors by performing a variety of administrative tasks, such as filing court documents, assisting with client enquiries, and conducting file reviews.
Rishika takes a proactive and diligent approach to her role, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standard. With her strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Rishika contributes to the smooth operation of our firm and ensures that our solicitors have the administrative support they need to focus on delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Rishika is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and Business (Economics) at Queensland University of Technology.
Jazlyn Huxley

Prior to joining JCL, Jazlyn gained experience as a teacher aide, rugby league and cricket coach and as a freelance social media coordinator.
She completed her first degree at QUT, a Bachelor of Games and Interactive Entertainment with Distinction (majoring in Game Design and a minor in Marketing). This degree helped her to form a strong work ethic and independence. In 2024, she completed her fourth degree at university. Her passion for education and sport has helped her motivate and inspire others (especially the next generation) to set and achieve their goals.
Using her diverse skill set in technology and background in education, Jazlyn assists clients and lawyers with various legal administration tasks. Additionally, she maintains current and archival files. Throughout her day, Jazlyn attends to daily administration tasks.

Darcey is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and International Business at Queensland University of Technology.
Peisi Ye

Prior to joining JCL, Peisi gained valuable experience working in a global law firm, where she was involved in construction litigation. She has also worked in Government, where she focused on an array of international taxation matters as well as working in their in-house legal department, which provided her with a well-rounded skill set that she applies to her work.
Peisi graduated with honours from Bond University, where she completed her Bachelor of Laws. She is also admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
With her sharp legal mind and eye for detail, Peisi has become a valued member of JCL. She is recognised for her excellent problem-solving skills, valuable experience and being both knowledgeable and friendly-natured. With these attributes and skills she goes above and beyond to ensure that clients achieve positive and practical outcomes.

Lola Robinson

A member of the JCL team since 2022, Lola was recently admitted as a solicitor and works on a variety of matters.
With a client-oriented focus, she utilises her technical skills and legal flair to consistently deliver work of a high standard. Above all, Lola is known for her friendly demeanour, attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our clients receive positive results.
Outside of JCL, Lola has completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at QUT, and Practical Legal Training (PLT). Upon graduation she hopes to continue working in the areas of insolvency and commercial litigation.
